2016 Hunter Education Classes

We do not offer the four hour follow up class to DFG’s online class.

The 2016 Hunter Education season is done at Kerleys. Please check back in the spring for 2017 classes.

April 16 and 17
May 21 and 22
July 16 and 17
August 20 and 21
September 17 and 18
December 3 and 4 This class has been cancelled.

The Department of Fish and Wildlife, to shift the function of recordkeeping from DFW to its volunteer instructors, now requires students to get a Hunter Education Document BEFORE registering at Kerleys. Afterward you must register IN PERSON at Kerleys Hunting and Outfitting and pre-pay the $20 class fee in cash. If you do not sign up in person and pay the fee at Kerleys, you do not count toward enrollment, and the class may be cancelled because of low enrollment.

This new DFW requirement, which forces you, the student, to go online and jump through their hoops, also creates an additional 40 hours of work per class for the volunteer instructors. Neither your instructors nor Kerleys staff will nag you to come to Kerleys to complete your registration in person. We will simply cancel the class. Store hours to register and pay the fee are on the right.

You can sign up for any given class the day after the previous one ends.
